Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has visited the MLM Abijo agro-logistics facility, a flagship project built by Rhema Project, a subsidiary of Origin Tech Group. The visit marks a significant milestone in the state's ambitious food systems transformation agenda.
During the tour, the Governor inspected the facility's cold chain infrastructure, warehousing capacity, and distribution systems, describing the development as a critical component of Lagos State's strategy to enhance food security and reduce post-harvest losses across the value chain.
The MLM Abijo facility represents a major investment in modern agro-logistics infrastructure, designed to bridge the gap between farm production and urban consumption. With state-of-the-art storage and handling capabilities, the facility is expected to serve as a central hub for food aggregation, processing, and distribution.
"This is exactly the kind of infrastructure Lagos needs to transform its food systems," Governor Sanwo-Olu remarked during the visit. "The partnership between the Lagos State Government and Origin Tech Group is delivering tangible results that will benefit millions of Lagosians."
The facility is part of a broader master plan that includes multiple agro-logistics hubs across Lagos State, creating an integrated network designed to strengthen food supply chains, create jobs, and drive economic growth in the agricultural sector.
