Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has applauded Origin Tech Group for the remarkable progress made on what is set to become Africa's largest food security hub. The Governor's commendation came during a site inspection of the Lagos Food Systems & Logistics Park project.
Describing the project as transformative, the Governor highlighted the strategic importance of the hub in addressing Lagos State's growing food security challenges. With a population projected to reach 35 million by 2050, the need for robust food infrastructure has never been more urgent.
The food security hub, when fully operational, will feature state-of-the-art cold storage facilities, modern wholesale markets, processing plants, and integrated logistics systems designed to serve the entire Lagos metropolitan region and beyond.
"This is not just another construction project," Governor Sanwo-Olu said. "This is a fundamental piece of infrastructure that will change how food moves, is processed, and reaches the tables of millions of Lagosians."
